About Me

Hey there, I’m Tai! I’m a South Metro woman who’s lived, worked, or attended school in Savage my entire life (shoutout to Harriet Bishop Elementary) and I’m eager to serve the people who gave my family the community and support to establish a home in the United States after immigrating here. Growing up working-class, I’ve seen firsthand how unreachable the American Dream has become for the average Savage resident. The rising cost of everyday goods, housing, and education has made achieving any semblance of long-term financial security difficult for many Savagites while public policy has continued to favor wealthy corporations over the average person. City government, more than capable of investing in its people to provide that long-term safety and stability, has sat on its hands as calls grow here and around the country for a real change in how our government interacts with us.
